Nursing Professionals

I have had a large demand for my services from healthcare workers, specifically nurses. I have put my pen to work and created a custom curriculum for nursing professionals that includes…

  • Great Résumé
  • Interview Preparation
  • Job-Search
  • LinkedIn Profile
  • Great Résumé

My proprietary and unique way of presenting your info to hospitals, clinics, and other employers has resulted in great success within the field. New Grads take note!

    Interview Preparation

Utilizing behavioral and skills-based preparation, I will help you distinguish your yourself as the best nursing candidate. You will be instructed as to what to say, how to say it, and be trained on different tactics to give you the best edge during the the highly competitive interview process.

    Job-Search

My custom job-search methods work extremely well, and very quickly. Saves hours! This will help you make the best use of YOUR time.

    LinkedIn Profile

A digital version of your Résumé on the world’s most utilized job/career related business networking platform. A must-have for the serious job seeker. Let recruiters find YOU more efficiently.

I have worked with nurses from all levels: brand-new graduates fresh out of nursing school to thirty-year master practitioners. They get their “dream jobs” at some of the top hospitals and clinics in California and in sixteen other states!

“I hope you are doing well. You created a resume and cover letter for me back in November of last year. I don’t recall if I ever shared this with you but in December I accepted a position as a PICU RN at XXX Children’s Hospital in XX. I am receiving phenomenal training and education and I am so happy. I am originally from the SF Bay Area and I would like to get a PICU RN position there in the next 1 – 2 years. I was really happy with your work and I am wondering if you would be able to update my resume and cover letter to reflect my current position?”

I received this email from a client in August of 2020 seeking additional services after proven results. These are my some of my favorite types of emails to receive. Mission accomplished.  A new grad with a select position, an enhanced career, upward mobility, progression, and a desire for a resume tune-up outlining the next steps.

Placement, staffing, and recruiting services are all constantly evolving and developing into bigger business segments of my company and I will look forward to enhancing the relationships I have as well as creating new ones with amazing healthcare practitioners around the country.

I also enjoy seeing my clients progress in career and role, coming back over the years to get their résumé updated as they add certifications, experience, and titles!

An example can be found with a client by the name of L. Osborne, whose own referrals have sought out my services due to the successful outcomes of those they respectively spoke for. I have in turn accepted them as part of my growing list of clientele. In the time since I started my résumé service, Osborne has used me for CNA, Phlebotomist,  to New-Grad with a B.S.N. (Bachelors in Nursing) and an RN License. They then upgraded yet again, acquiring new skills and certifications as an experienced RN, ultimately  deciding to transfer to a more specialized unit in a different hospital.

What a great journey that is to see my clients succeed and ace interviews and negotiate bigger salaries! This a result-oriented service.

I agree with a great deal of the content expressed here.

“Think of your job search as your own personal marketing campaign. And the product is you! Your resume is essentially an advertisement for your brand.

A brand is not simply a logo, it’s the overall impression you give your audience. In this case, your audience is the potential employer. As with any advertisement, the goal of your resume is to pique your audience’s interest.

It does not get you the job. It gets you an interview. Once you’ve been invited for an interview, your audience is already partially ‘sold’, but it’s up to you to close the deal.

Just as an advertisement has a few seconds to capture the attention of an audience, your resume also has limited time to express your value to the reader. Or, in many cases, a “resume-reading robot.”

Résumé Length? How long should my Résumé be?

This pendulum swings back and forth every few years. I have designed methodologies to address the ever-important question of “Résumé Length”. The official answer from my company is I create them to their natural, organic length and then work with the client to fit their need. I also have “deeper” level strategies which I will discuss individually if we engage. They involve multiple options for you, the job-seeker, to attack an opening with. This is one example of how my clients win.

Jamie, it looks great and I feel flattered of how great you make me look on paper–professionally.

Please, let’s move on immediately! I will love labor and delivery (includes antepartum postpartum)as 1st choice, NICU as second, and pediatrics as 3rd choice, but honestly I will take anything that is considered critical care.

For my first 3 choices I am willing to relocate anywhere in XX, XXXXX,XXXX, XXXX(To be honest I think I will relocate anywhere in the ?? as long as I get experience in one of those 3 choices for a year or two.

Let me know what you think, and thank y0u again.

    Update…
I sent a nice personalized email thanking her for taking the time to interview me. Literally 10 minutes later, HR called with the JOB OFFER. Yeah, HR said the manager was very impressed with my experience and interview!!

    Jamie,

I was well-prepared and I nailed the questions. And I asked plenty of questions, some of my own and all of the questions you prepared for me to ask. In fact, when she asked if I had any questions, I pulled out notecards that I prepared questions on and I said “ I certainly do†and I began asking and writing down her answers on the notecards.

Thank you sooo much, Jamie!! I start on 11-18! I’m so happy!!

These look AWESOME!! Thank you so much! They are a great blend of the two resumes I sent you and you really did an incredible job blending my interests, background, history and skills. It all looks super professional and on point. I love the breakout sections of skills and tools at the bottom. That was one of the things that I felt really helped to highlight and clean it up from the google docs version. It looks great. I feel so much better about sending these out and getting some of these dream jobs to happen. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I also really appreciate that you made two versions. I had been trying to cover everything for everyone in my one version (and was being a little lazy) and it’s nice to have two distinct versions for the different fields. I’ll let you know when I do but I think that both of these copies look fantastic and I imagine that any tweaking that needs to be done can be done on my end.
Again, thanks for the stellar work. You did a fantastic job. Such a huge load of my mind. Now on to locking down a great job!

    Hi Jamie,

I just wanted to thank you for your interview tips. This past Friday I went on an interview and it went well. They are getting back to me for a possible job offer. Yesterday, I went to fill out a job application an another facility, got interviewed that day, and a job was offered to me the same day. I had planned to go to two career fairs next week in LA, but now i am happy I don’t have to because I would like to stay here in lovely San Diego. The job search has been tough and I heard the market is far tougher in SD.  I did get to stay in SD!   I kept in mind all your tips and advice, and it surely helped.. I got two job offers within a week. Thank you. I hope you are doing well!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the amazing resume you supplied. I had hesitated for 5 months applying for any type of employment due to the un-professionalism of the resume I had compiled on my own. I am blown away at the opportunities I have been provided due to the amazing resume you did for me. So again Thank you so much I truly appreciate the incredible product you supplied to me. My life has been a whirl wind of amazing life changing opportunities with just this simple document in hand.

Jamie I just wanted to give you an update as far as my resume. With the resume I received from you I have landed the job of my dreams working personally for Kevin Harrington one of the original Sharks from Shark Tank. I also had 2 guaranteed offers with dental offices and 2 interviews set up that I did cancel due to the employment I chose to take working with.

I have just recently moved back to Phoenix Az and begin my new career working for Kevin Harrington Friday morning. You are the best and I would refer you to anyone that is looking for a top exec position working for a world renown Entrepreneur.

I contacted Jamie for help with a resume I had not had to update in over 10 years. I explained that I wanted a career change. He spent time with me to really understand how my past experiences might translate into a new career path. In less than 48 hours, he delivered a professional, eye-catching resume and cover letter. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a professionally worded and formatted resume that accentuates assets and strengths to prospective employers.

Jamie is extremely knowledgable about the job market and he’s very professional at what he does. He is the first person I go to for any career advice! I hired him on about 5 years ago to re-write my resume and cover. I thought he did such a good job that I referred him to some friends, and they loved his work too! As a matter of fact, one of them landed a huge tech job and she couldn’t be happier!

I’m currently trying to make a big career change, I’m seeking a new programming position in the tech industry. I called Jamie and we met up for a quick meeting to discuss the challenges I face, as well as my new goals and skills I recently learned.

He delivered my new resume and cover letter a few days later, and let me tell you it was spot on! I could tell he did a lot of research on my industry and target position. Its really well written and he hit all the keywords that hiring managers are looking out for without being generic! I’m now very confident in landing my dream job!

A while back you had written a cover letter and a resume for me. I valued your professionalism and gift with words. I was amazed at how simple you made the process and how detailed you were, ensuring that my resume was professional, yet really conveyed who “I” was. Your gift with words and ability to connect with your clientele is really what set this experience apart for me and ultimately for my prospective employers.

Which prompted me to contact you yet again for a different project.

The thing I love the most is your capacity to extend past resume’s and helped me write other professional letters. Again I am very smart and articulate, however sometimes in business especially business we love, the passion and the drive are there but the words are not, that is where you came in and simply put, preformed your magic!

Your versatility, professionalism, and dedication to great quality is what I admire most.

    About

I am ready to help you advance your career.

I enjoy raising the bar for my clients. Making you a more effective communicator in the business world and sending you off with a great résumé, or training you how to be better prepared to answer difficult questions in an interview process. Working with you directly, hand-in-hand. I enjoy that interaction the most. That is where a real, tangible, notable transfer of skills will take place between us. Everyone has a different level of work experience, and I will tailor my input accordingly.

It’s simple: I do for your career what I did for my own.

I spent many years selling computer hardware, software, and services and I also worked for a business communication skills training company, an industry leader. They served 350 of the Fortune 500 companies! I began to take the training frequently. It was then I began to understand that learning and training within business communication had scientific methodologies behind it, even though the subject was not biology or chemistry.  I now focus my energies on using those skills for you, the job-seeker. I provide high-powered resumes, interview preparation, custom job-searches, LinkedIn profiles, and Career Counseling.

I have prepared résumés for: Executive Directors (internationally-renowned organizations), CFO’s (Chief Financial Officers), CTO’s (Chief Technological Officer), Attorneys of local and international accreditation, Non-Profit managers (multiple Global brands), and board members/Directors. I have celebrity clients, clients working for four professional sports teams (NFL: Los Angeles Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, NBA: Charlotte Bobcats, Los Angeles Raiders) and a recently promoted head coach here in San Diego! (From Defensive Coordinator to Head Coach). I have represented clients working for high-level technology companies in the SF Bay Area like: Amazon, Square-Up, Inc., and Cisco. I have also helped job-seekers land jobs with very influential business people (Shark Tank show creator and original host Kevin Harrington Shark Tank Host/Creator hires my client ). I don’t believe in limitations and that is reflected in the positive momentum my clients experience in the trajectory of their careers,  post-engagement.

    My Bio

I personally had many jobs in my own career. I started working for my father’s construction company at a very young age and then in hot kitchens for mom-and-pop restaurants. I progressed from there to my first sales jobs, and eventually sales management positions. I then ascended to working for a Fortune-500 technology corporation as an Enterprise-level corporate executive representing complex technology vendors and services. This led to further job opportunities in even more specialized markets. I finished my corporate career as an employee/consultant and business manager in the real-time GPS fleet-tracking business. This entailed managing all sales channels in the companies largest and newest markets and explaining several moving technological components/parts-and-pieces/platforms to business owners about real-time data coming from massive service fleets and distributed over hand-held devices. This is what I was doing before I started my own business providing professional consulting services in the career management field.

I took something from all those roles, the sales calls, on-site client visits, training seminars, professional development courses, process improvement meetings, webinars, and trade-shows etc. The ability to communicate business information, succinctly, to many different levels of the corporate hierarchy. The skills I used to generate interviews, return-interviews, and job-offers for myself are now available for you to utilize to ADVANCE your own CAREER!
